Nancy Perry, Executive Director
My name is Nancy Perry. I was born and raised in California but have been in Florida for the past 37 years so I consider myself almost a native to Florida. I have been in senior housing for many years starting as a business office manager in a community very much like the Oaks. Over the years I have had different roles within senior housing including regional roles and most recently as a Traveling Executive Director, working at communities all over the US. My favorite part of working in senior housing is the opportunity to meet so many people who have lead such interesting and unique lives. I have learned so much and I want to continue to honor the elders as they have contributed so much to the culture we enjoy today. I cannot imagine a more rewarding and satisfying career than the one I have chosen working with senior adults. When I am not working I enjoy reading, cooking and spending time with family.
My name is Samantha V. Ballantine, and I am the Administrator of the skilled nursing unit, fondly referred to as the Health Center. I began my career in healthcare in 2007 as a phlebotomist at Bayfront Health St. Petersburg. In 2008 I transitioned from the hospital setting to a long term care facility and I knew I had found my calling. Since that time I have worked as a Certified Nurse Assistant, a Medical Records Director, a Social Services Assistant, an Admissions and Marketing Director, and an Assistant Nursing Home Administrator. I became licensed as an Administrator in February of 2020. I am a Florida native and I grew up in Pinellas County, recently moving to Hillsborough County with my significant other and our son. I am the treasurer of my son’s middle school’s PTSA and in my spare time I enjoy family outings, traveling, gardening, and reading. I am happy to have joined The Oaks of Clearwater and plan to do my best to serve this wonderful community.
Dining Services Director

I was formally trained in culinary arts at The Pinellas Technical Education
Center (PTEC). I have over 30 years’ experience in the hospitality industry. I've been working as the Dining Services Director for TJM properties for over 14 years. I have a passion for culinary arts and has great results in resident satisfaction. Outside of cooking I enjoy fishing and spending time with my granddaughter.
I have been an Activity Director for about 24 years now and have
spent the last year with The Oaks! I have my BS degree in Health Administration from the City University of New York and my National Certification as an Activity Professional. I grew up in New York City and lived in Connecticut for 15 years. Courtney and Kelly are my 2 daughters. I have been living in Pinellas County for the past 6 years. When I am not working, I love to play tennis. I play about 3 times per week at the McMullen tennis complex in Clearwater. Last year my doubles partner and I made it to the Ultimate Tennis finals in St. Pete! I also like to draw, paint and sketch so I really enjoy teaching painting with a twist to the fabulous residents at the Oaks!
Plant Operations Director

Hello there - I oversee the Plant Operations at The Oaks of Clearwater and assist with the same tasks at a few of our sister communities as well. Plant Operations includes Maintenance, Security, & Transportation but can expand to many other areas on any given day! I enjoy working with Seniors and have been in the Industry since 1985 and have been an owner, partner and developer with TJM Properties throughout my career. I've helped construct over 15 communities from the ground up! I'm a fun-loving guy and always have my cowboy boots on ready to put in a good days work!
As the Executive Assistant I assist Nancy, the Executive Director, with resident concerns and any day to day tasks that occur. I also get to build a great relationship with all the Independent Living Residents by helping them with any problems they encounter in their day to day lives. It warms my heart being able to help our residents in any way I possibly can. I was born in Missouri and lived their my entire life until June of 2019 when I moved to Florida. I am 25 years old and have been married for 2 years. I currently have no children but more than anything, I do want to be a mom. Until then my dog Bandit is my baby! In my spare time I love being outdoors, going to the beaches, and taking my dog on walks. I enjoy fishing and being out on the water taking in the sun any chance I get!!
Caring For Seniors Director

I have devoted over 30 years of Nursing to the Senior Living Industry. My primary focuses are staff development, customer service and resident outcomes. My current role at The Oaks is management of our “Caring for Seniors” programs. We offer a variety of companion and nurse registry services to our residents. The primary objective of these programs is to provide
support services specific to the individualized needs of our residents in an effort to retain them at their highest level of independent function. My family and I have resided in Crystal Beach for 22 years. In my spare time, I enjoy boating, swimming and playing pickle ball!
Hello, my name is Annette Kazimer, Human Resources Director. Working in HR I get to interact with a variety of people involved in all levels of the organization top to bottom. I have well over 15 years of experience in human resources and benefits administration. I will do my best to support the company’s biggest asset – our employees. My husband and I moved to Florida five years ago and truly enjoy all that Florida has to offer, especially the warm weather. During our spare time we enjoy biking, traveling, and hanging out with great friends.
